With the latest implementation of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in European Union, we are witnessing once again the widespread practice of applying a geo-restriction to visitors from some parts of the world and in this case, internet users coming from European Union. Freedom of information and uninterrupted exchange of the same should be the highest priority of every society.
This last example is only one of many that we witness continuously, hopefully by using different VPN solution internet users can easily bypass them and have free access to information.
We have prepared several how-to videos with different providers, showing how to bypass the last restriction caused by GDPR implementation and decision of some publisher to block visitors from European Union.
What is GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. In short, GDPR should make it much harder for third parties to share or sell your private data. It is a good thing. The law came in effect on 25th of May, 2018.
